Privacy Policy
Mythic Modern (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a Greek-mythology app that lets you explore an interactive lore library and converse with AI personas of gods, heroes, and monsters (“the Oracle”). This policy explains what data the App handles, why, and your choices. It is written to be plain and complete rather than to hide behind legalese.
1. Who we are

2. Information we handle
2a. Data that leaves your device

We use Crashlytics for crash diagnostics only — we do not use Firebase Analytics or any product-usage tracking.
2b. Data that stays on your device
Your conversation history, which figures you’ve unlocked, trivia streaks, and app settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload, sync, or have access to this data. It is removed when you clear a conversation in-app or uninstall the App.
2c. What we do not collect
We do not require or collect your real identity. We never collect your email, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, photos, files, or advertising identifiers. The only name we handle is the optional display name you may choose to enter (see §2a) — you can leave it blank. The App contains no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
3. Permissions the App requests

None of these permissions are used to collect personal information.
4. Service providers
We rely on two providers to run the Oracle. We share only what §2a describes.
- Anthropic, PBC — processes your chat messages to generate AI replies. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy and Usage Policies.
- Supabase — hosts our backend proxy and rate-limiting counters. See Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics — receives crash diagnostics to help us fix stability issues. See Firebase’s Privacy information.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing or advertising.
5. Data retention & deletion
- On-device data: delete it any time by clearing a conversation in the App or by uninstalling the App.
- On our backend: we do not store your messages, and the anonymous rate-limit counters expire on their own. There is no account to delete.
- Requests: to ask a question or request deletion of any data you believe we hold, email hello@mythicmodern.com and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Security
All communication between the App and our backend, and between our backend and Anthropic, is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Our AI service credentials are held only on our server and are never placed in the App.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because the App holds no account and stores your content on your own device, you can exercise most of these directly in the App; for anything else, contact us at hello@mythicmodern.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, noted in the App.
